Gauntlet Comics Summer Crossover: Masters of Umdaar - Fragments of Futures Past

It is a broken future on a shattered world. Humanity and metahumanity struggle to make what lives they may amongst the ruins of a world that their myths only barely remember. Legends whisper that a great hero was defeated, and when they fell, the bright vision of the future they held was broken, leaving only the world of the Masters, beings who have claimed rulership using terrible power and reckless cruelty. But travelers have brought new tales - stories of strange artifacts lying in the ruins of the world that might have the power to topple the Masters and reforge this broken future. Will new heroes arise to seek these artifacts and test their mettle against the Masters to rebuild the future?

Masters of Umdaar is a game using the Fate Accelerated system (published by Evil Hat Productions) and is built to emulate a sort of pulp science fantasy that looks a lot like classic comics like KAMANDI: THE LAST BOY ON EARTH and shares a lot of background elements with cartoons like THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN, HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, and SHE-RA AND THE PRINCESSES OF POWER. Our group of heroes can include anything from a mutant from the future who wants to build a better life for their community, a time-lost hero from Gauntlet Comics, a traveling human adventurer who is trying to strike it rich by finding these artifacts, or a cyborg beast-person who wants be more than a henchman for the evil Masters. Our story will take place in the Gauntlet Comics shared universe, which has been and is being created by Gauntlet Community members.

All standard Gauntlet Hangouts Tools of the Table will be in use, including Lines and Veils, the Open Table Policy, and the X-Card, to help us create a fun and safe table for everyone.
